I commend the organizers on a quality ride. I genuinely enjoyed it. I’ve never been on a multi-day ride and I felt right at home, completely supported, and enjoyed every minute. Incredible support. Great meals. Good itinerary. Excellent guides. And my god, the lemon cake.
We went to the hottest place on earth and found cold. We went to the driest place in North America and found rain. One of us was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and he was the most alive. The inclines brought us down and the descents brought us back up. We came seeking Death Valley, and pure unadulterated life was all we found.
