Climate Ride approves non-profit organizations that:

  • Are tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
  • Align well with Climate Ride’s mission and goals.
  • Are highly rated by donors and volunteers.
  • Have at least two people ready to register and participate in a Climate Ride event who wish to select the organization. Beneficiaries will need at least two people to select their organization as a beneficiary to remain on the list for the following year.
  • Complete the beneficiary application process and provide the required documentation.

Organizations are only eligible for a Climate Ride grant if participants select them and raise funds on their behalf. Therefore, preference is given to organizations nominated by participants.

In order to become a Beneficiary Partner, the organization must commit to doing outreach and engaging supporters to select them as a beneficiary of any Climate Ride event.

If your organization is interested in becoming a beneficiary, or if you would like to nominate an organization, please contact us. We will schedule a call for the organization and Climate Ride to discuss if this could be a beneficial partnership.

Since 2008, Climate Ride has granted nearly $11 million to more than 325 organizations working on sustainability, bicycle advocacy, conservation, and climate change issues. Those organizations and their grant totals are listed below.
