The Climate Equity Policy Center fills the gap between community vision and transformational change on the ground, helping communities navigate the complexities of policy development. We bring legal, climate, and racial justice expertise to the work of local and state policy change, supporting communities in adopting and implementing climate policies that advance fair, healthy, and equitable communities. Working with communities across the United States, we develop strong model policies that can be easily tailored for local needs and priorities, while researching legal and practical questions and barriers. Our work is grounded in respect for community priorities and knowledge, allowing us to help communities overcome legal and policy obstacles to adopt strong, just climate policies.
