Community Leader Green Fondo 2025
I find that as we connect to the places we live, our desire to protect them grows. I’m riding in Climate Ride to support our collective bond with the land, our cities, and each other. In our fight against climate change, that connection is our power.”
“My first ride on the Midtown Greenway in Minneapolis reshaped my perception of the city. What once felt like a web of congested roads, opened into a network of trails linking lakes, parks, and neighborhoods. I zipped through areas I’d previously avoided, feeling a sense of freedom and power. As I explored, my connection to the city deepened—despite having lived there for three years already, I was seeing it anew.
Now in San Francisco, I work as a Green Building Associate with Alameda County, through a Fellowship with SEI. My primary focus is supporting the review and update of the County’s Green Building Ordinance. Currently in draft form, these standards will establish energy efficiency and sustainability targets for new construction and major renovations across County-owned and leased facilities.
When I moved to the Bay Area, I brought my bikes with me. Cycling has become my tool for discovering the nuance within a city and immersing myself in the landscape.”
