Custom Trips

For nearly 20 years, Climate Ride has brought adventure and advocacy together—biking, hiking, running, floating, and skiing in some truly unforgettable places. Let us take the lead on your next group trip so you can focus on what matters most: connecting, unplugging, riding, and maybe even catching up on sleep before a leisurely spin. From route planning to meals to on-the-ground support, we handle the details. Our experienced guides make it all seamless—so you can simply show up and enjoy the ride.

Let us take your group on the trip of a lifetime—one that brings people together in service of a great cause. Maybe you’re celebrating a milestone birthday and want an epic adventure with unforgettable rides. Maybe you’re looking to make your next corporate retreat more meaningful. Or perhaps your riding group is ready for new routes and a fresh challenge. Whatever the reason, the cause is worthy—and the adventure is yours to shape.

Submit an inquiry and tell us what you’re imagining. We’ll work with you to design a world-class experience tailored to your group. Maybe you’ve always dreamed of riding our Glacier to Banff route, but with hotel stays instead of camping. Maybe you love the idea of gravel riding and hot springs, but want distances and elevation that better fit your crew than our Idaho Hot Springs Gravel Ride. Or maybe you have an entirely new route in mind—we’ll use our experience and creativity to bring it to life.

We’ll also work with you on the trip budget and the organization your ride will support. You can choose our traditional fundraising model, with the same tools and support our riders use every day, or opt for a pay-in-full approach and focus entirely on the adventure. Either way, we’ll handle the details—so you can focus on the ride, the people, and the impact.

What does my fundraising support, and why is it so important?

You can choose from the more than 100 incredible beneficiary organizations in our network! One of the things that make Climate Ride such an effective charitable event is that you can select the organization(s) you wish to fundraise for from our extensive list of beneficiary organizations. Our beneficiaries were selected for their work on the environment, conservation, sustainability, climate education, and active transportation advocacy. At the end of the year, Climate Ride grants the proceeds from our events to these hard-working organizations.

What will a custom trip cost?

The tour cost depends on amenities, services, accommodations, group size, and contribution to nonprofits. We will work with you on a budget that will serve your group’s needs. We request a minimum of four people on custom tours.

Can my group pay in full rather than fundraise?

On any Climate Ride, participants can pay in full or fundraise. One can also contribute through their Donor Advised Funds or contribute securities. If you and your group would rather pay in full than fundraise like on a traditional Climate Ride event, we can make that happen. Please see the Ways to Fund Your Event here.

Green Fondo Northern California

Climate Ride hosts amazing events! This was my second time riding the NorCal Green Fondo and I loved connecting with fellow bike-minded folks, enjoying the great weather and gorgeous views, and feeling the pride of a finishing a challenging ride. Climate Ride is doing amazing work to empower people and organizations to move the needle on climate, and for this event 100% of donations will go to participants’ chosen beneficiaries. I’m so happy I found out about Climate Ride through my regional bike advocacy organization, because now I have a fun annual event that supports causes I believe in.

Death Valley National Park

Your camaraderie and support moved me even more than the stunning views of Death Valley. As this was my first ride with a group, I really didn’t know what to expect. I was concerned that my slow pace would annoy others, and that I would feel ostracized.

Instead, your authentic camaraderie and support was an incredible relief to me. Indeed, it moved me even more than the stunning views of Death Valley. Now I find myself looking affectionately at our group picture and missing each of you terribly! Woa! What an incredible experience!

I’m sure that the support I’ve gotten from you and others has helped me fight cancer and enjoy life in a profound way. This connection is the coolest thing of all.

The Climate Ride is a powerful tool for change. It’s not just the riders who feel the force – it’s the friends and families who sponsor them, the TV audiences who see the media coverage, the people we meet along the route, the passersby who see us roll up at Capitol Hill, and the politicians who see our commitment to the cause. The ripples of change spread far and wide. For me personally, having only weeks before finished rowing 3000 miles across the Pacific to raise awareness and inspire action on climate change, Climate Ride was a hugely empowering opportunity to bond with a network of like-minded individuals. I have seen many Climate Ride alums in the weeks since the ride finished, and I know we will continue to work together to create a better, greener future for our world.
