Yes, it’s true, this supported mountain bike trip has a clear natural hot spring at every camp! This NEW Climate Ride begins in Ketchum, Idaho and we bike to the edge of the Sawtooth Wilderness Area. Imagine riding a mountain bike over a mountain pass surrounded by wildflowers and then cruising into the valley below to spend the evening in a clear steaming natural hot spring. Just when you think it can’t get any better, we arrive at the tiny town of Atlanta, Idaho below the dramatic shadow of Mount Greylock. On our layover day in Atlanta, you can choose to hike into the Sawtooth Wilderness, try out the singletrack to Grouse Lakes, or simply soak in one of the three hot springs for the whole day. You will return from this camping and biking trip relaxed and cleaner than you would have been at home. This is a dream vacation with a small group in the wide open spaces of Idaho.

On this charitable event, all of the biking takes place on gravel roads and trails. Local guides and our Climate Ride team will take care of all the details, allowing us to ride, connect, and see Idaho’s backcountry, where few tourists go. We stay in beautiful backcountry camps.

This trip is well-suited to road cyclists and gravel riders who can get comfortable on a mountain bike.  The terrain is gravel roads and trails. You should train to ride 20-30 miles per day on gravel roads. For very fit road cyclists who are also good mountain bikers, this is a moderate trip. For road cyclists who are not experienced with mountain bikes, this will be an intermediate trip.

Climate Ride charitable events bring together bright minds, breathtaking routes for all cycling abilities, and an unforgettable combination of passion and purpose. On this trip, we’ll get a first-hand look at the environmental issues affecting the Gem State.
