Our hearts are with the people of Morocco in the d Our hearts are with the people of Morocco in the devastating aftermath of the September 8th earthquake. The scale of the destruction is truly overwhelming, especially in the remote Atlas Mountains region. This region not only serves as the epicenter of the earthquake but was also the intended location for Climate Ride's upcoming Morocco trips.

We planned to visit the villages in the Atlas Mountains and connect with the local communities in the unique way that bicyclists do—immersing ourselves in their world, rather than merely passing through in a speeding car. Our rides were also contributing to a vital project, the construction of a new shower house and bathroom in a small village, and in the future, a school. At this moment, our thoughts are focused on the sorrow and fear that the people of Morocco must be experiencing.

Our incredible local guides have asked us to return as soon as possible, so we have rescheduled for 2024, and look forward to providing support to the communities when we return. If you have the capacity to support these guides follow the link below to donate.

Here is a note from Lahcen Errami from Imlil, Morocco:

Hey Brother: In the wake of the recent earthquake in the Atlas Mountains, the devastating impact cannot be overstated. Many homes have crumbled, leaving families displaced and vulnerable. Tragically, dear friends have been lost, and children are now left without the care and guidance of their parents. The scale of this disaster is heart-wrenching, and it underscores the urgency of our mission.
Our goal is not only to rebuild homes but also to provide a glimmer of hope to these orphaned children and shattered families. Your donation can make a profound difference by offering shelter, sustenance, and emotional support to those in dire need. Together, we can be a beacon of light in their darkest hour, helping them rebuild their lives and find solace amidst the rubble. Please, join us in this crucial endeavor and be a source of strength and healing for these resilient communities.

Climate Ride Burlington to Bar Harbor was a succes Climate Ride Burlington to Bar Harbor was a success! This inspiring group of 36 riders, ages 18-74, pedaled together across 3 states through all kinds of weather and landscapes. They have raised nearly $300,000 to date for the Climate Ride cause! 🤩

Our utmost gratitude to the Climate Ride team that supported the riders and made us so many delicious meals (so many good soups 🍜🍲!) You kept us safe and smiling. And, cleaned a lot of gritty bikes!

✨Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with us!
We want to hear from you! We have $40,000 in grant We want to hear from you! We have $40,000 in grants to distribute to inspiring organizations fighting the good fight for Environmental Justice and accessibility to the outdoors. Who do you want to support?

The goal of these grants is to support organizations that are fighting systemic racism, making progress on environmental and social justice, and providing more opportunities to experience the outdoors and sports. We ask the Climate Ride community to nominate organizations that are doing this important work that may be underfunded, overlooked, underrepresented, or just getting started.
