Additionally, we have over 50,000 newsletter subscribers who follow Climate Ride’s climate activism efforts. - Each Climate Rider is worth a thousand ads. On average, in the course of fundraising for a Climate Ride event, each participant reaches out to at least 60 people. They tend to be influencers in their networks — which means when they hear about new products they love, they share that intel with their people. Support us via in-kind donations, and you can have Climate Riders from all over the world getting their friends stoked on your products!
- More than marketing – you’re doing good for our planet. By supporting Climate Ride, you’re making a tangible impact with your sponsorship dollars. As a lean, green team of five full-time staff, Climate Ride works hard to pass as much funding as possible through to our amazing beneficiaries. Our unrestricted grants help create more bike lanes, support conservation efforts, preserve our National Parks, empower the reusable energy sector, and protect endangered species. Your support helps offset Climate Ride’s hard costs, thereby bolstering grants to our network of over 100 nonprofit beneficiaries working towards a better tomorrow. While we’re open to conversation with any potential partner, we do require that sponsors share our standards for social and environmental responsibility. This ensures that our collaborations reflect our shared goals, maintain mission alignment, and honor our existing relationships. To that end, please note that use of Climate Ride’s name or branding is reserved for formal partnership agreements.

- Incorporation of sponsor’s brand name in the official event name for Green Fondo or other Climate Ride event (e.g. “Your Name” Green Fondo, presented by Climate Ride)

Other opportunities
Programatic Impact Sponsorship
The programmatic impact sponsorship model is intended for Climate Ride partners who wish to direct their donation for sponsorship of a specific Climate Ride program, initiative, or campaign. Our team will work with you to determine which program area within our mission is most relevant to your goals. We can help you facilitate measurable positive outcomes, with options for hands-on volunteer activities, on-site sponsorship activations at events, and collaborative online promotions to raise awareness for the partner’s support of Climate Ride’s impact. For example, you could sponsor scholarship spots on our Green Fondo events to help us increase diversity and accessibility among our participants.
Product Sponsorship
Since 2008, Climate Ride has engaged in countless collaborative product partnerships. Product sponsorships and in-kind donations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are evaluated keeping in mind a product’s sustainability, the brand’s alignment with Climate Ride’s mission, relevance to our audience, and more. Your products can be offered as fundraising incentives, prizes during events, or featured as part of our meals, aid stations, and post-ride parties.
1% for the planet
Business members of the 1% for the Planet network can commit to donating the equivalent of 1% of gross sales through a combination of monetary, in-kind, and approved promotional support directly to Climate Ride. 1% for the Planet certifies all member donations to legitimize the members’ commitment by reviewing and confirming sales and donation details annually.
Through our events, we offer unique opportunities for 1% for the Planet businesses to engage with our environmentally conscious participants and donors. Here are the three ways to take your donation further through Climate Ride:
- Register a participant for an event and contribute to their fundraising page. The participant can select Climate Ride or a beneficiary organization. Your 1% recognition will come from Climate Ride, and your donation will be distributed to the selected beneficiary through our grants program. Depending on the event, different grant equations may apply. Green Fondo is a great option since the fundraising minimum is low, and we grant 100% of the funds raised. This is a great way to get staff members involved in our events through your contribution!
- Donate products as fundraising incentives or prizes for a particular event. We could include your products in our participant messaging and promote them during the event.
- Direct sponsorship through a donation to Climate Ride. We can put your logo out there in multiple ways such as on our jerseys, website pages, and in our E-newsletter which reaches our network of 50K subscribers.
