WINNING! Climate Ride Honored with Two Awards in May!

Last month, we garnered two industry accolades about which we’re really proud!

Climate Ride was inducted into the International Green Industry Hall of Fame (IGIHOF) – joining the ranks of the likes of Josh Dorfman The Lazy Environmentalist, UC Merced, and other green organizations working to make a difference for the future.

As part of being inducted into this prestigious group, Climate Ride won IGIHOF’s Advocacy Award, which recognized the organization’s outreach and education efforts. The induction ceremony took place at Fresno State University on Friday, May 11 and was broadcast live on the internet. Climate Ride was one of 5 organizations inducted into the Hall during IGIHOF’s annual conference.

“The mission of IGIHOF is to recognize individuals and organizations for excellence and outstanding achievements in the green industry, and we’re very proud to include Climate Ride among our 2012 inductees,” said Sam Geil, Chairman of the Board of IGIHOF.

In addition to the Green Hall of Fame induction, Climate Ride’s website, developed and designed by Chicago-based Mightybytes, Inc. also won a top-level award in May for a  re-design! The American Web Design Awards celebrates the power of well-designed websites and other online communications to attract audiences, generate engagement, and promote products, services and ideas.

The website project lasted several months and took our already-popular website and turned it into a social media, uber-back end-enabled powerhouse!

“Mightybytes went out of its way to make sure we were nothing short of intensely satisfied,” said Geraldine Carter, Co-Founder and Director of Climate Ride. “Our previous site was not matching our fast-paced growth, so we asked Mightybytes to help with a complete site overhaul that would support our growing needs. Obviously, they did a terrific job!”
