Geraldine has explored all the continents, leading bicycle tours and hiking trips. She traveled from Bhutan to Bolivia, Patagonia to Prague, Istanbul to Antarctica, sometimes on foot, but mostly on two wheels. She has recently combined her passion and concern for the environment with her intuitive understanding of logistics and bicycle tours to co-create Climate Ride. Geraldine graduated from Cornell University, but traded her talent for solving differential equations for a life of travel, exploration and civic engagement.

Caeli earned her B.A. from Northwestern University and then hit the road on two wheels. She spent 10 years traveling the globe, leading biking and hiking trips for Backroads, the active travel company. While pedaling in China and Burma, she observed the effects of climate change and dirty coal plants firsthand. Caeli decided that it was critical to address America’s role as a leader in sustainability and advocate for a transition to clean energy.  Inspired and determined to positively affect the issue and to help propel the US to a green economy, she co-founded Climate Ride. One bicyclist at a time, she believes, we can change the world.

Tim is the owner of Mightybytes, a triple bottom line-friendly creative firm in Chicago. Mightybytes is an Illinois B Corporation, a three star eco-certified company, a composter of organic waste via a collection of over one thousand magical worms (all named URL the Earthworm), and every few weeks they whip up their own special blend of beer called Mightybrew, which they share with clients and friends.

Tim is author of “Return on Engagement: Content, Strategy and Design Techniques for Digital Marketing” from Elsevier/Focal Press and “Managing Interactive Media Projects” from Delmar Cengage Learning. His books are used by higher learning institutions in several countries, including Johns Hopkins University, the Art Institutes, and Full Sail University. He also regularly presents at conferences and gives seminars and workshops on various aspects of design, media, technology, and marketing.

Blake has been in love with the bicycle since he was a kid riding on his blue beach cruiser. Since then, he’s pedaled all over the world as a bike tour leader. Blake has a strong affinity for the arts, entertainment, the environment, and building community. He has headed up many organizations the world over, with experience in corporate development, strategic marketing and event management. In 2005, he won First Night International’s prestigious Prism Award for Creative Excellence for his vision and commitment. He holds a degree in Communications from Loyola Marymount University.

Rosi is the Director of Sustainability at Dartmouth College, where she works to transform the college into a sustainability leader of thought, education and action. Before Dartmouth, Rosi led the development and implementation of innovative sustainability programs at universities as the Director of Sustainability at GreenerU. At GreenerU, Rosi provided leadership and guidance for several universities, including serving as Director of Sustainability at Babson College. Her prior work includes serving as founding Executive Director of Gray is Green, a non-profit focused on engaging people over 65 in environmental sustainability, and as Energy Advisor at Juice Energy, Inc., a renewable energy supplier in NYC where she developed energy and carbon management strategies for businesses. Rosi helped build Juice from a small startup to a major player in the markets it served. Rosi was integral in developing marketing approaches, sustainability strategies and in managing high-level client relationships.

Kerr earned her BS from Dartmouth College and a Master’s in Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. Rosi has led and participated in expeditions in the Canadian Arctic and Alaska. She is an avid rower, runner and cyclist. She rode the NYC-DC Climate Ride in 2008 and 2011. She serves on the Board of Vineyard Power and on the Sustainability Advisory Board for GreenerU. She lives in Nowich, VT with her dog Gus and a flock of chickens.

Josh currently serves as Sustainability Manager for the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), working to develop the university’s first sustainability program, focusing on academics and research, facilities and operations, and community engagement. He is also an adjunct professor in UDC’s College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences and the UDC Honors Program.

Prior to joining UDC, Josh worked as a green building and sustainability consultant for the Cadmus Group and supported DC’s first neighborhood sustainability indicators project while serving in the District of Columbia Office of Planning. While earning his master’s in public administration at The George Washington University (GWU), Josh helped form the GWU Office of Sustainability, serving as its first staff member. Josh is a LEED Accredited Professional, a proud District of Columbia resident, and a lover of ultimate frisbee.

Evan O’Neil is a program associate at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and editor of Policy Innovations magazine. Evan started with the Carnegie Council in 2003 and has worked on several different initiatives over the years. From 2004 to 2005, he assisted the Council’s Empire and Democracy Project in its exploration of multilateralism, democracy promotion, and corporate social responsibility. He transitioned to Global Policy Innovations to help launch its program on positive alternatives for a fairer globalization.

Evan has been a contributing author for GlobalPost, Gates Foundation, Wired magazine’s Haiti Rewired project, OWNI, 1Sky, and No Impact Man. In his spare time he enjoys volunteering for New York organizations such as Transportation Alternatives, Housing Works Used Books Cafe, Community Environmental Center, and Bikes to Rwanda and writes occasionally on his blog The Crank Within. Evan graduated summa cum laude from Duquesne University with a B.A. in philosophy.
